Squid: A Deep Dive Into The Eponymous Squid

Have seen a glow squid in Minecraft? There are two main answers, as always, “yes” and “no”. Although one is more common among new player. If you are new to the game you might say “no”. If you have only played in old versions of Minecraft, than you would probably say “no”.

Even if you have played in 1.17, when glow squid were abundant, you still might not have seen one kind of glow squid. Many people think that it is false, but it is actually true. Below is a picture of a baby glow squid named Inkpen. I always have to ask people not to kill Inkpen, just to be safe. If you ever find one, you should do the same.

Why haven’t I ever seen a baby glow squid?

This feature, I believe, is only in Bedrock Edition which is one of the reasons. Another is that they are extremely rare now. One other reason is that (according to the Minecraft wiki on fandom https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Glow_Squid, when I last checked) there is only a 5% chance for them to spawn.

Why is this article called what it is?

In Minecraft Dungeons, there is an achievement called ‘The Eponymous Squid’.
